Things like this are hard to do, but necessary when it comes to welcoming the stranger.

The first week we were at church, (about 2 months ago) I didn't feel like this. felt welcomed as a new staffer, but not as a prospective member. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. The hard part is empowering congregation members to actually do stuff like this without having to sacrifice a lot.
